Bingo, I've used this exact router myself and the rest of the settings look fine.
so should i untick the static ip option then or not

Almost certainly.
I have a static IP allocated to me, but my router is set for dynamic IP. Plusnet then ensures that the same IP is allocated to me dynamically, every time I connect.

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if you're getting klicked off as a security measure when your router doesn't send an IP assignment ACK. Please switch back to dynamic IP and let us all know how you get on.

Maybe try "Plusnet" for the PPPoE Service Name, as per the advice of Lewis Skinner of Plusnet [1]
EDIT:
Is it actually syncing at the DSL layer? Perhaps try running the PPPoE client on your PC first, with the device set to ethernet bridge mode.

trying plusnet did not work in the pppoe name did not do anything did not see you edit till plugged OR modem back in
the DSL light on the router just flashes on and off and the status in the interface says initializing but thats it it never syncs its so odd because it used to work so well untill it was unplugged
ill give it a try in bridge mode with the PC doing the PPPOE

Try:-
Go into your Member Centre >> Connection settings >> Automatic setup.
Disable Auto setup.
For some reason on my connection I cannot disable it but that doesn't bother me right now. It will soon. So if it doesn't let you, it seems it is an FTTC issue, so try getting support to disable it.
