I seen similiar reports of buddies on plusnet. I am glad I didnt take the chance with them now.
I am still on BT who have no visible congestion issues at all currently but waiting on zen to publish their own backhaul pricing as otherwise I be going to aaisp.
I would not go with plusnet either to be honest if I decided to change form who I am with. I escaped them years ago when they took over Metronet, in fact I did not give them much time to get their feet under the table before I got my Mac and went. to prove how much I wanted to stay away from Plusnet I went to AOL,, pre-Talk Talk mind you.
Their traffic management was awful, AOL was better and I would have stayed with AOL for longer then a month if they could have got me the 1Mb/s I was getting on Metronet.
BT is not on my list either to go to, nor is Talk Talk. In fact no one is on my list at the moment as I am fine as I am as long as they don't have another night like last night. Still not right now, but better than last night.
The problem with smaller Isps if you go for fibre is their prices and what they offer for those prices. ADSL wise, some are fine, like I thought £19 a month on ADSL24 was good, it would have been better if I lived closer to the exchange.
The prices these smaller ones charges for fibre, it is not practical for many people. I blame the government and BT to be honest.
