Certainly the WAN one should be 1492 and the routing one - try 1492 or maybe less.

You might need to experiment.

MTU set at 1492, maybe a smidgeon better, I'm going to wait a couple of days & see what happens. 55/16 is nae bad Jimmie!

What if you go straight into teh HG533 router and not via the switch?

No window scaling; RWIN only has enough room in the header, 16 bits, to go up to 65535. How exactly is it to ramp?

I ran SG TCP Optimizer & now get 75down/17up!

I simply as you suggested, set the bandwidth & then did 'optimal' on both General & Advanced settings.
