You may well stay the same, or even get better. I was the first on our cabinet, I never did get the estimated 57/20, at one point I was getting less than 40, now over a year on I'm getting 47/9. Our estate is very popular for families, so I should think take up is fairly high.

Cool, well fingers crossed it maybe creeps up again one day. It's just been a little worrying seeing it drop week on week but if it settles here it's good enough.

On the other side of the various swings and roundabouts, we just had it installed at work today (hence I'm posting here, as part of trying to predict how it'll perform).. we were seeing a prediction of 19/1.5 but are currently getting 37/6.

The upload in particular makes it much more viable for cloud-related applications, whilst 1.5 would've left us thinking twice. BUT based on my experience at home I know the DLM tends to stay its hand in the first few days and that it almost certainly will drop. I'm half expecting it to drop to the predicted 19/1.5 or even further down over the next few weeks so I'm trying not to get too excited yet!

Interleaving can kick in after a couple of days, which can wipe a chunk off your speed , this is what happened on both my home line and my works line.

The good thing is that interleaving very rarely affects your upload speed. You may also find that you are on a 40/10 product, so your download attainable may be higher. If you have a low estimate the ISP will put you on a product that matches the estimated speed, as it saves a few quid for the ISP.

Hate that DLM & IP Profile things. Wish BT removed it off for good.

Yeah it's a 40/10 product at work, throughput of 37.5 right now which sounds to me like maxing out at 40 minus overheads. I wasn't sure if it was worth considering asking for 80/20 to see if a few more drops can be squeezed out of the bandwidth, but perhaps not.

At home I'm fairly sure interleaving got applied (will have to hook up a laptop to the unlocked modem at some point..) as the ping did go up by 10ms or so. It's a pain really and I hope they make it optional one day - I'm not bothered that the DLM thought it looked a bit unstable, our real world experience was that it worked perfectly with consistent pings and downloads.

I unlocked the modem at work, and the attainable was about 42, so I didn't consider it worthwhile getting put on an 80/20 product. As it happens interleaving kicked in and we're down to 36.

I have LAN2 of the unlocked modem going to a LAN port on my router. The modem IP address fixed of course, and the router DHCP excluding it from the allocatable range.

I can access the modem from both my wired and wireless machines.

Mines updated now and show different values for the two ranges.

My original was 26.3/5.6, which I never got. Then after the first change it went to to 21.8/5 and a couple of weeks it went to 20.8/4.6.

Though the estimates have always followed by my sync speed by 1 Mbps.
