On a clean line you will get between 20.6 to 28.7

On an impacted line you will get between 11.2 to 23.1

I was confused over the clean estimate beating my original estimate, I understand fully what they mean.

They are including the Vectoring effect.

Mine has also changed and I'm currently extremely confused?

Likewise

FTTC Range A (Clean)    59.3    43.7    16.2    10      --      Available
FTTC Range B (Impacted)         49.7    26.7    16.2    7.4     --      Available

Yet my sync is currently (thanks to Burakkat's scripts due to the loss of the web UI):

Max:    Upstream rate = 9565 Kbps, Downstream rate = 60792 Kbps
Bearer: 0, Upstream rate = 9464 Kbps, Downstream rate = 53307 Kbps

I gained a couple of thousands Kbps after the new software and for the first time was on fastpath but that seems to have gone now. TCP/IP throughput is around 50megabit download and 8.5megabit upload.

Nice if they are, do you have any links to confirm that as I was hoping for a higher upload speed with Vectoring ? :-/

They seem to be trying to get things more correct.
My estimate was originally 58, then dropped to 52 a few months ago (when lots dropped).
Just rechecked on reading this thread, and it is now
FTTC Range A (Clean) 77.5 59.1 20 18.6 -- Available
FTTC Range B (Impacted) 66.8 38.1 20 13.3 -- Available

My actual right now is 77.7; almost spot on their top estimate.
My speed was around 70 for months, then jumped a few weeks ago when DLM removed interleaving (probably after the modem firmware upgrade).
~~~
Was the recent firmware upgrade to allow for vectoring?
I thought that vectoring was still very much just in trial.
~~~
Question to those unfortunates out there with aluminium lines.
I know that in the past you usually got well below the estimate (unlike most of us who got a bit above).
Does your estimate now allow for your aluminium lines, or is it still as inaccurate as ever?

Moved (with trepidation turned relief) to BT Infinity 2 for upload speed. Happy BE user for several years.

"My actual right now is 77.7; almost spot on their top estimate."

Same, Current sync 28.1Mbps.

The recent software added support of 30a being supported by the modem.
Vectoring won't do much for ECI cabs unless they have secretly been running a national hardware upgrade. I will be asking an engineer friend of mine if he can have a peak into my cabinet and take some photos for me!

Some cabs have had upgraded Hardware, the Hardware upgrade could of possibly been the reason.

I have 250 meters of aliminium on a 965 meter line.

After a DLM reset my line syncs at 34/35Mbps but is unstable, I'm assuming this is the ali at work. Once settled normally goes around my estimate, though where I live there is a high amount of REIN.

It has nothing to do with Vectoring, at least that is what I believe.

This is preparation for self-installs which are set to go live next year, hence the explanation of Clean and Impacted (being bridge taps, etc, they have no relevance to Vecotring).

My modem already supported 30a without being upgraded, so this is a red herring.

Wow, mine's jumped around quite a bit from last week (or week before) when i started another thread wondering why my estimate was low for what i worked out should be a relatively short line. Previously was getting an estimate for approx 26mbps down and 6mbps up for both Range A and B

High Low High Low
FTTC Range A (Clean) 45.9 32.4 8.3 6.5 -- Available
FTTC Range B (Impacted) 39.1 19.4 8.3 5.7 -- Available
