You are correct, sorry! I was thinking about the MK2 for some reason...

Time to get a coffee I think!

The recent software added support of 30a being supported by the modem.
Where do you get that from please? It would be very odd, as the requirement for CP-supplied kit does not include 30a. Only 17a with vectoring and SRA.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,website and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 59.4/14.4Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

It's supported 30a for a while (if not always) but it's never been possible to get a sync.

Can find various test articles on the HG612 wordpress (asbokids results).

I know SRA was enabled but where is the source of vectoring added?

Originally it was 31 and 5.9 for me and I'm about 800 metres from cab.

It is now (or will be when the engineers finally find their way out of the cabinet end of the supposedly blocked ducts and get the cab live):

FTTC Range A (Clean) 50.3 35.8 10.4 7
FTTC Range B (Impacted) 43.6 21.8 10.4 6

I am not impacted to the best of my knowledge, no extra wiring internally and the only aluminium is a very short run on the exchange side of the cab (or so I was told - makes sense as ADSL2+ is 2Mb/s above current upper estimate).

ZeN Active 39dB 2.9Km ~10Mb/s

Because Openreach have no plans for 30a. So even if it does, it's irrelevant.

We are at cross purposes there smile. I'm not saying the OR modems support vectoring, (yet?). I'm saying the requirement for Openreach to approve CP equipment is that theirs do.

I see my estimate when from 62.7meg to 80meg. Says my exchanges now accepting orders but still unable to order frown.

I don't think it's anything to do with vectoring, as others have said I think they are just trying to get the estimate more accurate, and ready for self installs.

My original estimate last year was for 57/20, which I've never had. I'm currently getting 47/8, so sitting at the top of the impacted range and midway in the clean range. The best estimated speed on the range last week was 36Mbps.

I'm 450 meters, with no problems with my internal wiring. I don't think there is any ally in my line, but I can't be sure. And I really hope vectoring will give me a big boost in speed if we ever get it, we are on an ECI cab.

Pretty similar to mine, my internal wiring is just the master socket (as configured by the FTTC install) - my line is around 470metres and I was predicted 46 / 6 when signing up in Sept 2012. Huawei cabinet, one of the big ones.

James BT Infinity 2 19/09/2012 - Sold 42/6 - Getting 49/8.5 - Sync 53 / 9.5 Mbps @ 470m approx
14 years of broadband (ntl: cable to BT FTTC) - Router: Asus RT-N66U - Modem: Huawei HG612 speedtest
