Sounds like make they have bypassed the old master socket then

On the 13th February when openreach come to my property to replaced a new master socket, I did asked him polite if I could filmed video the way he changed the socket but he say no thanks. I respect his privacy.

Yes there is mains power inches away. The original suspected master is on it's own in the middle of nowhere in an awkward corner. Maybe he moved it because it's easier to plug the power in? I must admit it's a lot more convenient now , but I'm concerned whether it will affect me adversely.

It sounds as if Openreach have wired it correctly and moved the master so that it is next to power sockets for the modem. This is ideal and should have no impact on your connection.

They did the same for me as my master socket was by the front door with no mains power anywhere near.

The simplest way is to look at the van they drive.

Thanks all. I didn't realise they could/would do this without extra expense. I much prefer where they've moved it so I'm glad to see the fitter used common sense even though I wasn't present.

Its included when the ISP ensures the "home wireing solution" option is on the order to openreach. That is automatic with BTretail (Infinity) and so I'd assume very likely with Plusnet.

i can just see Zarjaz in the movie " replaced a new master socket" it would be a 18+
