I've just had a look at your previous thread. To be honest I'm a bit baffled by you not asking for further help there, as we basically had to repeat all that was said there.

I'm now wondering what else it is you are unclear about smile.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 59.4/14.4Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

In reply to a post by d4vid:
I do have a BT installed extension in a spare bedroom which I'm told is connected to the BT MK2 Master socket. I would lie to installed my BT modem / SKY hub in the spare bedroom. I would appreciate some help as how to connect. I have tried already, standard broadband works but the fibre does not.

I believe the fibre BB is one pair yet my extension socket installed by BT has 3 pair.

Thank you in advance
would suggest the opposite infact , it's you who should read perhaps peoples posts before engaging fingers at the keyboard

The op's reference to it being a modern house would appear to be wireless/wf fi related obviously you missed that too

And if i've got what the op is trying to achieve correct , they appear to want to know if siting the router/modem in the spare room, that is possibly upstairs would this offer a better wireless reception around their home than it does in it's current location

OK, so I missed the "BT-installed" smile. Shall we leave the OP now to stick to MrSaffon's instructions and my, (probably unnecessary but I would have a look if it was me), checks?

I wouldn't of thought the info given would be too confusing, for someone to get their head round,if you want to learn about something that's what you do
