Had mine installed this morning by an Openreach engineer smile
I've gone for 40Mbps initially (coming from 2Mbps!) and am currently getting 39Mbps so am well chuffed.

well openreach came spent all of 5 mins didnt replace any sockets or anything just transferred the cable from the sky router to the fibre modem and has left...
was syncing at 4.9 now have fibre producing about 15meg down and 7 up....
not impressed was told to expect x9 speed uplift but presently have x3
the usual 10 day period was mentioned but this seems really bad for a start.??
looking forward to speaking to an asian sky call centre person sometime soon.!! oh dear.....

What is the wiring like?

Should have given you an interstitial VDSL faceplate, or some if you have a full ADSL faceplate seem to skip it.

You can plug into the test socket to see if the wiring is having an effect assuming no VDSL faceplate fitted

Something doesnt sound right. How far do you reckon you are from the cabinet? Have you tried a speed test with your computer directly connected to the router just to rule wireless out?

Well here's a riveting situation update: Still no hope of fibre services. CD&S very slow with release of information.
Life goes on...

I feel for you, I knew my area was going to get 100% coverage but waiting for a service date(after multiple slips) was really, really, irritating.
