Re: Merthyr tydfil exchange accepting orders

Thanks again, it's just that coming from a planning background (started out as a buyer, then production manager before moving into the system admin side of things) it drives me crazy how inefficient this procedure is. In the truly private sector (without the monopoly) they wouldn't last 2minutes running it like this. I'd have been sacked if I left a job sit between stages for 2months like this lol and the complete lack of information as to what's going on and ETAs just make it worse

Apparently the work was finished on Friday (although no engineer went near the cab lol) now just needs certification. They estimate 2 weeks.
Strangely enough I spoke to engineers working on cab22 this morning and they also said that 57 was finished about 2 months ago and should have been AO about 6 weeks ago. I reckon someone's forgotten to type into a keyboard somewhere that it's finished

It seems that cabinet 45 has started accepting orders. From what I can see its the first cabinet to go live since the initial 3 when the exchange went live in March. Hopefully it'll be the start of several more.

Great news. Looks like 21 is also AO this morning. Nothing for 2 months and now 3 in 2 days, hopefully this is the start of many more. BTO have being doing loads of work around the area for the last few months so fingers crossed many of the cabs only need T&V.

Good news smile Does anyone have any information on CAB 33 on the Merthyr Tydfil Exchange? It seems to have been in the testing phase for a while now?

How did you find out that your cab is AO?

I'm still waiting for my cab to go live! Superfast Cymru said that it just needed t&v a few weeks ago and there was an OR van there last week but still nothing!

It is in penyard btw, right opposite the TV mast.

Also, did you try to order through Sky or BT?

Can anyone tell me what the status is with cab 43?

43 is not AO yet mate sorry, I'm sure Ribble or MrSaffron could tell you what's needed on it
You can check it yourself by using the checker at dslchecker.bt.com if you don't have a bt phone line use the address checker on there instead.
Yes I went with sky in the end, basically got it for the same price as normal bb unlimited for a year, so £7.50 a month for 12 mths, free router incl postage, free activation. Really thought about plusnet but their QoS was not my cup of tea.
