Wellfield (NEWLF)

[link to this post]

The Wellfied exchange should have been enabled for FTTC by now, but on the BT availability site it say nothing, the superfast site says coming soon May 2014.
The original set date was 13st Dec 2013.
My Cabinet No 2 has had the fibre cabinet installed for months, the installation of the fibre is combination of BT commercial and Digital Durham .

Thanks

Interesting result.

Planned cabinets:
1: Commercial, 9/15
2: Commercial, 6/15
3: Commercial, 9/15
4: BDUK, already available
5: Commercial, 9/15
6: BDUK, already available
7: BDUK, already available
8: Commercial, 9/15

These will be end-of-quarter dates, so the actual switch-on is targeted within the quarter ending on that date.

That almost never happens, if bduk cabs are ready they tend to go live asap and same with commercial. Usually a reason why commercial cabs are still delayed eg. Blocked ducts, fibre or even waiting on planning for site for cab

Picked this off Digital Durham Facebook page Dated 31/10/14

Update on Wellfield, information provided as follows:
Current Build Status
Cabinet numbers 3, 4 & 6 - 3 stoppages exist in the main duct and are currently scheduled to be cleared by 5th November. Estimated ready for service date end of November.
Cabinet numbers 1,2 & 5 we have been given information as a courtesy by Openreach. These cabs are estimated ready for service date mid-December.
Cabinet 7 this requires a lane closure on the A19 which is due to start on the 12th November for 3 consecutive nights to complete the work in that part of the network. The follow up work will be complete by the end of November as long as no further network issues are encountered. Estimated ready for service date mid-December.
Please note: as ever, all time scales given do include the caveat that the dates can change. Due to the nature of the programme, and as clearly evidenced in Wellfield, its often that a problem isnt identified until work is taking place

Looking at the information above i would have thought that the commercial cabs would have live by now..
