I tried it disabled during the tests and didn't make any difference.

In terms of bandwidth no it does not. In terms of CPU maybe but server is more than fast enough to serve the files multiple times to the same connection

What does the speedtest.net graph look like? You will need to do a screen shot and host it with a link.
