Hi
I recently changed to Plusnet and got a nice clean 72M down and 18M up connection, happy with that.Later I got a fixed Ip address again no issues and a fast set up.
But of course I kept checking the speed and noticed something. First I was occasionally given an IPV6 address for up to a week at a time, well OK I thought they need to test this and my system should cope.
But I noticed that before these IPV6 addresses started my speed was this. After the fixed IPV4 it was this. And when I had a IPV6 address it was this.
I have quite a few results like this but there aren't really enough results to prove a correlation. However it looks to me as if when I have IPV6 working then the speed is slower.
Do you think this is a function of the type of connection or the test itself or something else entirely?
Any ideas?
Alan
