I found out that CDAS are slow to update their maps and postcode spreadsheet once a cabinet goes live. Hatherleigh was due to go live in March according to them but Cab1 went live in January which serves my parents, best thing to is keep checking the BT checker https://www.dslchecker.bt.com/

Good news is the CDAS aren't leaving the EO lines to the end of the project, I have found out they are making progress with one exchange with EO lines due to go live in the next few weeks (not sure if this is a new cabinet or FTTP). Also that they have began survey work in Hatherleigh for the EO lines too so fingers crossed!

Thanks for the tip Storm_Force, I shall keep checking. smile
As it is, I don't suppose I have too much right to complain about the speeds I get overall, or the latency, but I just want better, and I know son will be ecstatic when it happens, lol.

That's how things are on an average Saturday evening, so not so bad...
I can't wait to post a much nicer one, once the upgrades are done though. smile

Hopefully you'll have some good news of your own soon, if they are doing the survey work already. smile

I see that the planned work along Halsdon Terrace seems to have vanished off roadworks.org now Miggle, but having walked down there today, it doesn't appear to have been done, and as yet there is nothing new scheduled for the next 12 months listed on the site...
There is still the same build up of dirt in and around the edges of the floor panels, and nothing looks to have been done anywhere along the street.

I wonder what they have planned next? frown

Thanks ShelleH - Yes, I just noticed that too.. boo..
Also saw that some of my work colleagues were able to order fibre (1 umberleigh, 1 ilfracombe) where last week it wasn't available.

I'm hoping now hoping for either the roadworks.org site to be updated today or tomorrow, or the status of the exchange to update. Now I've got to suffer several weeks of them gloating over their internet speed smile.

I was watching the roadworks.org site when they started putting the cab's in and they did move forward installations once they'd started going in - and they updated the website. I think I'm getting addicted to checking the status pages...

It usually goes in this order..

http://dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/ADSLChecker.TelephoneN... (waiting for the FTTC items to show in the list)
http://www.roadworks.org

At least I'm not the only one who has become addicted to those pages, lol.

I've also been checking https://twitter.com/DCCSCCBroadband/with_replies and https://twitter.com/Openreach_news/with_replies on a regular basis too.

I think it's just the frustration factor now.
There seemed to be a lot of progress within the last year, and now it's back to not knowing anything new is happening, and wondering if the 'by October' date can be trusted, given that they previously said by the end of June...

Back to website watching I go... wink

Just checked another site, http://fttc-check.alc.im/search/EX388AR and that reckons September.

Also, roadworks.org has the Halsdon Terrace work listed again, with a date range of 15 to 28 of July. smile

Fingers crossed now. smile

I'll just keep my fingers crossed for now. smile
