FTTP

As of yesterday I can order BT's option 4, 300mb fibre broadband.
The cost is £59 for phone line, tv etc.. Then another £24 on top for 300mb.

I was wondering what kind of router BT supply, and is it any good ?
Also, what kind of wireless speed can I expect ?

BT will supply a Hub 5. I strongly suspect you aren't going to see the full kahuna over wireless, but can confirm that a single wired connection to a decent computer will see around 300 meg download. Oh, and some of the speed test sites can't handle that, for instance http://www.speedtest.bbmax.co.uk the one on this site will happily cope with it.

The HH5 supports Wireless-AC which will easily cope with 300Mbps. Also, the speedtester here has no problem with that sort of bandwidth http://labs.thinkbroadband.com/ispa/ and http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest.html

Yep, I know all that Batty, but TBF wireless ain't the best way to test at high speeds is it ?

That's odd, reading your post seems to say the exact opposite. Anyway for wireless-AC either your PC/Mac must support it built-in or you'll need a wireless-AC dongle like BT supply for £18 or so.
