Re: E20 - BT FTTP address database messed up

Would be the main reason for Hyperoptic to be in there I guess. Have asked questions on both sides, so a race for the prize of customers is underway.

I does seem likely, but that sounds a weird thing to do. Surely to continue with it would have cost almost nothing. Unless all the infrastructure was in Portakabins.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 56.6/14.1Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

Managed to take a slightly better photo.

http://tinypic.com/r/21b6lfp/8

You can see the hyperoptic ethernet feed there, that goes up to the switch and then the router.

Okay have an answer...

Hyperoptic expect the work to be completed in the remaining blocks in August. Which means not long to wait until pre-orders start.

To find out anything more specific needs actual flat numbers, happy to take them in PM and pester Hyperoptic accordingly.

I don't think every premises is affected by this - I'm moving to E20 in a few weeks and my new place is showing FTTP as available on the checker: http://i.imgur.com/oZr5eKD.png

Will definitely be going for Hyperoptic though!

Follow up from the BT side

FTTP should be available to order over the Openreach kit already installed, just that there have been issues with databases brought on by the conversion process from Olympic village to flats

In theory should be fixed by Monday, so looks like people can have two FTTP connections if they want.
