I think asking Openreach is your best way of finding out what's going on.

There's still areas in my town that are just being enabled which is more than 3 years after the first cab went live.

It must be highlighted that there is no obligation on Openreach to do all the cabinets on any exchange. Commercially they use criteria to pick and sometimes it can look to be down to the roll of a dice.

In Wales as a whole the plan is to get 96% connected to a fibre based service (no speed qualification), so as that project goes on likely that even if the commercial programme does not reach you that this government project will.

But then a 4 in 100 chance you might be one of those missed out.

Llanelli PCP34 is being upgraded using BDUK Wales funding. It was scheduled for completion by end May 16 but looks as if it has been delayed (as has my own cab in London which was also due for service by end May 16). Hopefully neither of us will have too long to wait now.

MCM, I would like to thank you.
Everyone 'official' that I contact just says "keep looking at the openreach website"
I knew that someone must have a list but nobody would say anything,
You have given me some hope!
Thanks again,
Andrew

Unless you unlucky like our area in London where you can see all the hardware in place for the last 4.5 years and know its live and in use LOL

To still be told the hardware is not ready yet or the classic the equipment (i.e. FibreDP and Manifold) that would supply fibre to other neighbours address is at full capacity which one of my other neighbours was told, at full capacity, wow, seems it only takes one FTTP connection and its full LOL

Another classic one was after talking to openreach about our FTTP over a few emails which they also confirmed is being worked on currently to them be told either our fibre cabinet was full, where we told them that we have no Fibre Cabinet for our area, which we was then told well without a cabinet you will not be able to get FTTP.

Just shows how some of their staff members have absolutely no clue what they are saying tongue

Jokes aside, hopefully we all get our fibre sorted out very soon.

Paul
