It's still showing up, with the same dates for me; so hopefully, it was just a case of you caught it as they were doing the database updates or something...

I know that there seemed to be no signs of activity all last week though. The covers on the current in-floor chamber hadn't been disturbed at all. They still had the same collection of dirt and weeds around the edges etc.

It's starting to feel like we're the town that time forgot. wink

Hopefully it is a sign of genuine progress then. smile

I had no reason to be up that way today, but tomorrow I shall be going past; so I shall see... I now have the attitude that when it comes to all things BT / Fibre, seeing is believing, never take their word for it. laugh

Well, I went past that way about 9 a.m. on my way home, and the covers of the in-floor chamber don't seem to have been disturbed yet, and there were no signs of any activity having taken place recently.

I guess whoever said that work was progressing and marked it as such, must have a different idea to the rest of us, as to what progress really means.
Maybe an engineer drove past and gave it a harsh stare or something... frown

I'm starting to think that they aren't going to meet the promised October roll-out date for us...

The works have vanished off roadworks.org again, but having walked past the surgery again today, it would appear that nothing has been done.
The covers on the in-floor chamber still haven't been disturbed at all judging by the dirt in the grooves, and the weeds that are growing in it; so 'work in progress' turned out to be another lie.

Yeah - we'll see what happens over the next week, but they've missed their building slot twice, maybe 3 times now.

There's also a bit of cable work planned for the end of october right outside the exchange.

Either way I think they really need to get a wiggle on if they're going to actually complete this by October.. especially as we're almost into September now.

I'm hoping that they will actually manage to complete it this time, but I won't hold my breath.
I saw that we are back on the roadworks map for today, with completion due sometime within the next two weeks, but given recent history...

The works listed for outside of the exchange in October, they would seem to be for a new cabinet entirely, so that could well be for the lines that are currently direct to the exchange.

Maybe it's a very good sign that they have that planned already... Surely they wouldn't bother with that unless they were intent on having everything else in place? smile

Fingers crossed... smile

I've just noticed on roadworks.org that the work that is due outside the exchange has been moved forward.
It is now scheduled to be done between 26/08 and 08/09...
Hopefully it is a sign that they are going to be on time!

Well, we can dream, right? wink

They've also scheduled another little bit of work further along New Street, for around the same time, so it does look like they are trying to get everything done all at once.

Fingers crossed. smile

well.. all the main roadworks are happening now.. apart from the one we care about the most, smile
I would be really surprised if they delayed it past the 11th/24th of September. If they did they wouldn't meet the 'From October' deadline.. we'll see

Yeah, it seems that they are actually trying to meet that 'deadline', so with a little luck, the one near the dentist will be done this time...

I keep hoping to see a work crew down there each time I go past, lol.

Fingers crossed. smile
