i assume the deveoper had no conversation with openreaach around fibre for te development and just asked for voice -- hence new cab -- tricky one that is as iyt depends which dp the routing tabke says you are connected to as if that dP is linked ot cab 59 then that is a real problem -- interesting not sure why were were ever connected to cab not routed via the currect DP - uf you r DP rotuer says 8 no issue if the DP says 59 big problem

What do you mean by DP?

The BTWholeSale ADSL checker for my phone number shows as Cab 8 which has FTTC but does not show it as available for my number. But looking up the postcode/address it shows cab 59.
