Re: (Another) FTTC/P Rural Exchange Question

Either the fibre cabinet or a new standard street cabinet is usually a pre-cursor to improvements for the Exchange only lines. There is the onesie style which combines both jobs into one cabinet that is starting to appear too.

If you use the BT Wholesale checker you can tell when EO lines have been added to the new cabinet as a cabinet number will show up.

Did news on an area where for one cabinet it was 12km of fibre needed to reach it from the exchange.

Thanks. I will keep an eye out.

Oddly, we had a total phone line / mobile line outage yesterday. We literally had a fire engine, ambulance and a police car stationed in the village "just in case" anything happened whilst the phones were out.

I wondered if it was a managed situation or if someone had damaged cables/fibre etc.
