Looks like you're out of luck there frown.

Re your speed at the moment, those estimates suggest you should be getting more than 0.5Mbps. Have you done things like check/remove the ring wire at the master socket?

Also worth checking the Miscellaneous nasties.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 56.6/14.1Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

Yeah, I think they got a bit excited with their estimates. I have a filtered faceplate on and this is roughly what its been from when I moved in.
I even considered joining BT as I think they have to honour a speed estimate.

I'll wait and see if I get e reply from my email or if its just put in the too difficult bucket!

The honouring of the estimate simply means they'll let you leave if it speeds are vastly below estimate, not that they'll change physics so you hit the estimate

They are called estimates and not minimum guaranteed speeds for a reason

I sometimes think that BT make a rod for their own back with the way they word things. It might be better if they said something like:
Please note that this speed is an estimate only; if the speed actually obtained is less than (eg) 50% of this value then you may cancel the contract without penalty.

Much clearer and little scope for quibbling which may be why they don't use it crazy

You ought to see what speed you get using a dangly in the test socket.

The fact you have a filtered faceplate doesn't necessarily mean you can ignore the ring wire.
