I have just been over at Spean Bridge near Fort William.

wow, that brings back some memories. I had a bit of a holiday romance some years ago with a girl who worked in a local shop (londis store I think), right on the junction at Spean Bridge. Ah memories!

Lovely part of the world.

It's a Spar shop actually not that that's important.

Indeed!

She was quite something.

More seriously, holiday romances .... Some very warm memories of such around 50 years ago.

I thought that Spar was around in the 60s or 70s? I am sure we had a local one when I was a lad (actually a bit older than that!).

Londis is a relative newcomer though, isn't it?

Thinking back, I think it was a Mace at the time? It certainly had green livery.
