I'm not really sure if this is related or not...

" Start: 01/10/2014 02:00
Cleared: 01/10/2014 06:00
Duration: 4 Hours
Message: Outage of upto 15mins dependant on size of MSAN "

But it sounds like it possibly is.
That's an upcoming outage for our exchange.

Maybe one of the more knowledgeable people here might be able to give us an informed opinion? smile

It's a box which links services into the network (they'd need to add one for fiber)

It's listed on the Zen status pages. They provide details of their own outages on one page, and they list their suppliers upcoming outages on another; that one is on the suppliers page. smile

I'll be keeping an eye out, so will update as soon as I see anything. smile

Hopefully we'll get some good news soon.

One thing I did pay attention to yesterday evening was the in floor chamber opposite the dentist, and it was very noticeable that work has been done on that. Also the floor covers and cones a little further along from there, and the new sections of tarmac leading to them; they are all marked with WWU, which is Wales and West Utilities, so I'm presuming that all of the BT stuff is complete now. smile

Fingers crossed you go live any day now! I drove through Torrington on Saturday and noticed the shiney new PCP and fibre outside the exchange.

Spotted on roadworks that in Hatherleigh the road outside the exchange is shut for 2 days at the end of November for fibre cabling work so hoping it maybe something to do with the EO lines here!

I'm certainly hoping that it shall be soon.
I think that the work they are doing at the exchange tomorrow night (early hour of Wednesday a.m. technically speaking) should be the last thing that needs to be done... Or at least I really hope so.

The only other works listed on roadworks.org are two telegraph pole replacements, so they shouldn't have any impact on the switch-over.

That does sound hopeful for you too, and it may well be, that you get your fix of fibre soon. smile
