Do you mean the e-side from 5 goes via 4, and may even be technically 4/n? Therefore having FTTC even though it doesn't seem so from the wholesale number checker?

Possibly in FTTC terms is 4/2?

In other words the OP may be actually fed via 4/2 on the e-side so could get FTTC from 4?

I haven't had a chance to call BT yet and query this.

To follow up on this, I spent the best part of an hour on the phone with various BT folks and although my address was showing as available, they couldn't guarantee that I could get fibre on my line.

Looks like the online advisor just wanted to rush my order through to get his commission; well, he won't as I've cancelled and will have to sit and patiently wait to see if BDUK upgrade PCP5.
