.....but, other than traffic prioritisation and capacity/congestion issues, what other parameters can an individual ISP control over a FTTC connection?
(My question really is asking about Customer Support on FTTC connections)
I thought they had given up with user line setting changes for fibre and only offering it to ADSL Pro customers. All mention of it disappeared from the Fibre Pro page in the My Sky section months ago leaving just the static IP address request option.
Openreach do or did offer three stability settings for FTTC. I thought they were listed in SIN 498, but didn't find then in a quick look through the current version. It could be they have been withdrawn. That would explain Sky dropping the idea. They didn't involve direct control of things like SNRM, nor did they have names corresponding to the three in BT Wholesale. It was all very confusing, as "Standard" didn't map to "Standard".
