hi all, just wandering if anyone knows who is offering this service as a line check shows that it is now available for me but i cannot find an isp who sells this to get a quote for installation.

Not really an answer to your question, but this price list might give you an idea of the costs involved.

My ISP (IDNet) will supply FTTP in enabled areas, not sure if the availability checker (here) also covers FTTPoD.

Forget that, it's rubbish.

First, you replied to me, and I have no intention of going for FTTPoD.

Second, to some people the Openreach prices for FTTPoD will be acceptable. The profits to these people from having it could dwarf the cost.

FTTPoD can be a bargain for those businesses that need it and work out much cheaper than a leased line. That you are unable to understand this says a lot.

So now "rip off UK" = Paying the real cost of something ?

For sure to most a lot of money but if you have a real need for it it may well cost in.

Look on FTTPoD as a 40 Mbps CIR with burst to 330 Mbps and compare to the monthly price and install fee of similar Ethernet service and price is certainly more attractive.
