If you go to SamKnows, https://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange/LNROD it puts Roding out the other side of Harlow. However all exchanges there are EAxxx (East England) rather than LNxxx (London North) - that is probably wrong and is adding to the confusion. The TBB map confirms this too.

There is also a chance that at sometime in the past, part of your Exchange area was called Roding

Wasn't too sure if you was talking to me or kitcat, but my Exchange has always been Ilford Central (LNILC) and we have been living here for the last +30 odd years.
Also when on the phone to BT a little while back (i.e. a few months) I was also told by BT that our phone line is connected to the Ilford Central Exchange where the phone line and broadband are separated etc.

Also I am located in Manor Park about 3.5km from Ilford, and if I was connected to the Roding Exchange like you said the other side or Harlow, that would be a very long trip to take with just 3.5km of wire from Manor Park.

Any how this is my Exchange https://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange/LNILC which is what the BT DSL Checker also confirms.

Also my Phone Number, Address/Post Code and NADKey/District ID all say I am connected to Ilford Central.

Roding is the name of an exchange unit located within Ilford central exchange building.
There is no exchange called LNROD, though there is a White Roding.
for whatever reason its showing the switch unit name instead of the MDF building name.

It was really only a comment that there are several mistakes - including giving the far out exchange an LNxxx designation.

Try again to alert BT - they should eventually pick up on their errors and change it but it can be a slow process.

Hello all that replied.

BTO seems to of now rectified the issue and is now displaying the correct information.

As for the Roding name, I was unaware of this, even when spoke to a mate that works at BTO about the incorrect name.
But I guess back in the 30,40 or 50's (before my time LOL) it may of been named after the River Roding that runs very close to the Ilford Central Exchange.

What confused me was when I was told that Roding was its name and where I did an exchange name search and was also told Roding (LNROD) which is miles away and we couldn't be connected to that, also not knowing what areas do what in the Ilford Exchange building didn't help, I was under the impression that our phone lines (including the broadband) went to the Ilford Exchange (LNILC) where they separate the broadband from the phone line, and the broadband then gets routed to the relevant ISP's Network etc.

And SamKnows confused the situation also, one can only go with the information available to one

As to of getting BT to rectify the issue, I did try twice over the phone but was told by BT India that they have no way of doing this on their system apart from raising a fault etc so I gave up with them, which was why I posted on here hoping somebody that had contacts with BTO, which might of just happened or maybe my mate passed on the info, either way its now displaying the correct name.

So thanks to all that pointed me to the correct information and possibly informed BTO of the incorrect information being displayed.

This could be true going by the age and look of our current PCP Cabinet 24, which is currently be moved over to the new modern one located a few feet away from it.

Sorry if I came off a bit rude, but I did do loads of searching and all info pointed to BTO info displayed being wrong, also like I said in my last reply, not knowing exactly what's going on in the exchange doesn't help
