Believe you can see the green cab in this Google Map image. It is hidden in the hedge between two properties.

I hear you may be able to exchange "StreetView" miles at SpecSavers.

Hi,

I just wanted to bump this up and see if any of you wonderful forumers could provide information on when I can expect my cabinet to be fibre enabled?

I've been keeping an eye on the council website and it appears the cabinet will be picked up in phase 2 with the end date of that now at December 2017. I'm starting to get into UHD content now and my 18Mb/s ADSL link is just short of cutting the mustard for flawless playback.

Cheers,

Paul

Well I just did a quick check and couldn't find much apart from that your cabinet is not part of the phase being upgraded throughout 2016, so maybe end of 2017.

I can see that it says the following for your cabinet "Superfast Broadband coming to parts of this area by December 2017.", however I cannot see any of the non upgraded cabinets for your exchange listed as coming soon (which covers 2016) so like it says maybe end of 2017.

I can see that they are in the middle of updating a few blocks of EO Lines which are scheduled to be done for mid 2017.

According to Superfast Northamptonshire they are ahead of schedule and have already reached the 90% stage.
It seems that Phase 2 is to upgrade 6% so that 96% will have access to line speeds >24Mbps.
They expect to upgrade 23,900 premises from start of 2016 to end of 2017 leaving the remain 4% (13,000 premises) for phase 3.

That's all that I could find.

Many thanks for putting the time in. That's all in the public domain as you've eluded to, I was just hoping that those with insider knowledge may shed a little more light.

Cheers,

Paul

Would any of you learned folk be able to advise whether the description below, is likely to be the install of a fibre twin:
"Install 1m of poly ducts in Footway, install 9m of 2 poly ducts in Verge, Provide, Renew, Recover 1 DSLAM street cabinet and base, Install 18 of 1 way power duct in Footway, Performing an 1 excavation to expose power cable in Footway"
Work ref: BC005WP00400500211567100

That's verbatim, hence the poor punctuation, grammar and capitalisation.
It looks like the cabinet will be about 3 metres in front of the PCP cab. Cabinet in question is PCP4 fed from EMSILVE exchange.

Thanks in advance,

Paul

There's some work starting to day to lay some ducting in the vicinity of the fibre twin. Code Look states 'Live due November 2016'. Fingers crossed this is the work to make connection to the exchange.
