I just thought there was an ISP that capped the down speed of an up to 76 down to the lower package speed to allow for the higher up speed of 20 or 30 instead of the 10 or 20, but may be wrong.

That's Plusnet with their scary traffic management system (Owned by BT)

So if the margin at sync was 6db, and it's 16 after 4 minutes, it definitely sounds like intermittent noise which has now stopped (hence the high attainable upstream).

Me thinks BT does loads of these to fill up our logs so that we cannot see what they are doing LOL.
I recall a few weeks back I got 30 odd sets of these in several hours, even lagged out our HH4 then for some reason just rebooted.

I think it does loads of testing that results in settings being changed, hence the reboot.
