eo Fibre broadband

Hello, been on a exchange only line until toda,y looked on the checker and now says im served by cabinet 3, also there is a fibre cab next to it, how long will it take to activate fibre now it is showing a cabinet number?

it can be weeks or months, our whole village was EO until cabinets were installed in early October, still waiting for the cabinets to go live. It is amazing just how many little things can hinder the process.

Contact you local council if they were installed as part of BDUK to find out details.

Is the exchange got working Cabs on it already ?

If so it can be only days. This is because they don't move people to the copper cab until they are nearly ready to go live.

Keep checking at regular intervals, Days? or if you get bored weeks.

Make your mind up who to go with while you wait so you can order as soon as it shows as available.

Postcode?

I know your normal sources, but I haven't yet worked out how to equate which particular EO bundles have been moved over, and whether a new PCP has been installed for the purpose of taking over some/all EO lines.

I'm also not convinced that cab 3 is active yet.

When it says a postcode is 100% for a set cabinet as well as 100% for an exchange only in my eyes it means they will be moving to that cabinet.

It also helps when I do a complete speed check for all addresses for each postcode where it tells me the cabinet, so it confirms the move.

Also the info I display (i.e. the values) are all from BT's DSL Checker I just format it to be more nice and easy to read, so if it says they are on cabinet X then they are active, or the DSL checker is wrong.

But like I said in my post, I have no clue when that cabinet will get fibre.
