Thanks to both of you for looking into that for me, much appreciated.

With it being an EO line are there any options available to me or am I stuck on 20Mbits for the forseeable?

Thanks in advance,

Paul.

As the bduk project for each area heads closer to 100% more are getting faster option so might be 12 months or might be 3 years

Is it possible to check the status of Wilstead Cabinet 6 please?

It was showing as "Coming Soon" and then "Enabled area" but is now "Exploring Solutions".
It was/is scheduled to be part of the central broadband phase 3

Many thanks

Dave

Well the "Enabled Area" I.e. the "Accepting Orders" on their Where and when page was a bug that everyone got the other day, I felt a disturbance in the force once it got fixed tongue

All I can get is the following info:
Exchange Name: Wilstead
Exchange Code: SMWLS

Cabinet: 6
Fibre Phase: BDUK Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes 13a
Fibre Information: FTTC Planned (exchange ready 14th October 2011)
Result Count: Test Skipped

*** Speed Checks Skipped ***

Please note that these speeds are using BT's DSL Checker and uses the lowest and highest values for that postcode and cabinet.
Had at least 1 issue retrieving information from the BT DSL Checker.
I didn't do any checks on the postcodes due to there was approximately 40 postcodes to check.
At least you are under a BDUK funding, some people are not frown
So you may need to contact them.

Could somone please provide me with info on cabinet 3 on the Calthorpe exchange in Birmingham? I'm due to move in to an apartment in the area (B5 7RJ) and can seemingly look forward to speeds of 8Mbps.

Cheers

Post Code: B5 7RJ
PCP: {CMCAL}{P3}
Exchange: CALTHORPE
Status: Under Review

Under Review =
We're in your area but we're still assessing whether or not we can upgrade your cabinet. This means you can't order Superfast Fibre.

All I can find is the following:
Exchange Name: Calthorpe
Exchange Code: CMCAL

Cabinet: 3
Fibre Phase: Not Available
Fibre Information: None
Result Count: 95

[B5 7RJ]
Has 95 result(s) connected to Cabinet 3 with ADSLx with approximate speeds around the following:
ADSLx (Worst): Up to 8.0 (downstream rate) -- (upsrteam rate) 5.5 to 12.5 (downstream range)
ADSLx (Best): Up to 11.0 (downstream rate) -- (upsrteam rate) 6.5 to 15.0 (downstream range)

Please note that these speeds are using BT's DSL Checker and uses the lowest and highest values for that postcode and cabinet.
Had at least 1 issue retrieving information from the BT DSL Checker.
So you could get around 8 to 11Mbps depending on the apartment, best to use a phone number in the BT DSL Checker to get a more closer speed.

Hello helpful broadband people!

I'm connected to cabinet 9 of the Wimbledon, London exchange. Sadly yet another non-fibre enabled cab. Have emailed NGA email (when it worked) a couple of years back and was told it was 'not financially viable' which is weird as it's dead in the centre of Wimbledon with new blocks of flats going up around us all the time.

Was wondering if those in the know had any more info above and beyond the Openreach ASDL cab check/BT infinity website.

Thanks in advance

Paul
