Well I found loads of cabinets all around that area, including your exchange:
[Cabinet 1 ???]
https://goo.gl/maps/xz1s2

[Cabinet 3]
https://goo.gl/maps/KjkfS

[Cabinet 71 ???]
https://goo.gl/maps/34lGW

[Cabinet 71 ???]
https://goo.gl/maps/KvcuJ

[Cabinet 76]
https://goo.gl/maps/IcbGM

[Exchange]
https://goo.gl/maps/MzGCD
I did find more cabinets, but my browser crashed and lost them frown

But going by the speeds etc, postcodes AB25 1GS and AB25 1GT (lower end 66.9 -> 80.0 | 64.0 -> 80.0 upper end) are the closest to your cabinet (where ever it is) and then its postcode AB25 1GU (64.0 -> 80.0)

It also doesn't help when Google maps are a bit behind smile
All you have to do is take walks between your postcode and the exchange and you will see some cabinets.

Don't think it is at the exchange for this one but close to AB25 1GT

The cabinet at https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@57.148657,-2.109748,3... is cabinet 87, but would be a candidate for standing another cabinet there to serve the EO clusters in the area. Watch out as cabs 50 and 76 are also fairly close if out walking and looking for it.

I have a suspicion that this is Cab 71 as it ties in with Paul's reply to another thread that the speed is higher for lower numbered houses as they are closer to this cab.

I've just been out look at it and it has no number written on it, I have some photos here: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B_VyTsTOrs97...

It would appear to be a totally new cab as it's not on this google street view: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@57.148693,-2.113153,3...

And here is it on a map in relation to my house: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_VyTsTOrs97NnJGZjd...

That may or may not be cabinet 71, its a good chance it is, but I think another cabinet serves near that area, don't recall the number.

Also that wide cabinet on the left of your pictures seems to look like the new PCP Cabinets, we recently had our old one replace to one of those.

Also found cabinet 27

Nope you maybe right and Andrew already said where cabinet 87 is which was what I thought it was, its just that for that distance you should be getting higher speeds than that, unless the copper lines go half a mile down the road and back on itself to that location.

I've had a PM from another forum user confirming that the PCP and FTTC Cabinet i photographed was indeed 71.

I have decided to just pull the trigger and placed an order for PlusNet's 80/20 FTTC Service.

Can anyone tell me if they use the OR FTTC Modem or an all in one like the BT HomeHub 5? Really hope its the OR Modem, as that would fit in with my current set up just fine.

The cabinet on the left on the picture is the current PCP model in use. They are using up the stocks of those as there's a new model that's finished trials and is ready to go so they should start showing up soon.

Does anyone know what type of FTTC this one is, and if getting a Huawei/ECI modem will make any difference to the sync speeds
