then for a start the Plusnet profile should be 23.10 at least , you could try dropping the pppoe session on the router ,to see if that updates it, if not then ring their support and ask them to update it, the delay in the plusnet profile updating is unacceptable IMO

But the throughput seems somewhere near the mark for the sync, what are the rest of the stats from the modem ? you may have to obtain them via telnet, or maybe a better option would be to download install one or both of the available tools that will log and display the full stats from the modem from Here , kitz forum

It took over 48h for G.INP to kick in for me after putting on HG612.
The increase in sync went up between 12-8mbps ( depending on how far back in history I compare ). HG612 is worth every penny now smile

So I now have a Huawei modem (unlocked) running the latest firmware (B030SP08), but my IP Profile on Plusnet remains at 19.9 and my speedtest returns a constant 19Mbs.

When I look at the modem stats it states:

Max: Upstream rate = 4361 Kbps, Downstream rate = 26984 Kbps
Bearer: 0, Upstream rate = 3617 Kbps, Downstream rate = 23895 Kbps

Does this mean I need to do something to get the IP Profile reset?

What telnet command should I run to get more line info?

Thanks

Colin

The Plusnet "Current line speed" updates 2-3 times a day, so I would expect yours to read 23.1Mbps some time soon. You shouldn't need to do anything.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync 60000/16961kbps @ 600m. - IPv4BQM IPv6BQM

xdslcmd info --show

((That's assuming you have telnet client enabled in your Internet Options).
Sequence:-

telnet 192.168.1.1
admin
admin
sh
xdslcmd info --show

G.INP shows up as Bearer 1 being there as well as Bearer 0. As has been said, it can take a bit now you have the right modem, though mine was immediate.

Looks like g.inp has kicked in smile
xdslcmd: ADSL driver and PHY status
Status: Showtime
Retrain Reason: 1
Last initialization procedure status: 0
Max: Upstream rate = 4402 Kbps, Downstream rate = 27844 Kbps
Bearer: 0, Upstream rate = 4491 Kbps, Downstream rate = 27909 Kbps
Bearer: 1, Upstream rate = 0 Kbps, Downstream rate = 0 Kbps

Now I just need Plusnet to change my profile.

Just asked them to raise it via the web chat support service. They did it, there and then, resetting the profile to 40Mbs.
Latest speedtest results (25.9Mbs down, 3.8Mbs up)
Speedtest

Very happy smile
