Working fine with address, not working if just a postcode is entered into the address field to try and produce a property list.

Still works fine for me for the postcodes I am monitoring, it returns the property list along with the UPRN. Tried a few others and that returns an error.
Yeah, I am aware of some working I have about 6,000 postcodes and about 100,000 addresses in my database and some postcodes do still work and shows the extra separator | at the end and can contain the 1 or two extra fields in the address info.

Any postcode on my exchange still fails to work.

Try E12 5AD (one of our side roads) it should return approx. 70 addresses in the list.
It says like I says "We are sorry but the checker is unavailable at the moment. Please try again later." for the BT DSL Checker and "The postcode/number checker is currently experiencing technical difficulties. We are working to resolve these. Please check back later." for the BTOR Where and when page.

Maybe they are in the middle of updating those that are not working.

The only working is full telephone number, post code with door number! (address with post code only will not work anymore)
I think the ones that are not working are the ones that might not have been updated to the new format.

This postcode TF8 7LA on exchange BROSELEY works fine to get an address list.
And as you can see its been updated to include the 1 or 2 extra fields.

So you and myself will just have to wait for ours to be updated.

I see you have found some that work in the new format.

It has to be a massive database and possibly needs to calculate the figure/value that is now displayed. I wonder if BT are doing an exchange update off-line and then adding it in?

This could be the case, checks by phone number and all postcodes that also contain either a building number and/or name works.

I also think that one of those extra numbers at the end i.e. the longer one is the UPRN (Unique Property Reference Number) the other number just before that can be blank, but may point to another line maybe? I have seen that smaller number match another last number so there must be a connection between the two.

I am due to change my app once the database for our exchange has been updated, that would give me over 25,000 addresses to check etc.

As for BT's database being massive I think that database might even be split up.
Think about it, it contains around 5,510 (maybe more) exchanges that can contain hundreds or even thousands of postcodes each and each exchange can contain an average of 25,000 addresses that's a total of 137.75 million address right there, which I think is no way near what is really stored in there.
This is why they would have to update maybe an exchange at a time.
I know Oracle is good but I cannot see it being that good and update everything at once.

Not sure how Openreach would have a database with several times more addresses than exist in the UK.

Post Office knows of 29 million addresses it can deliver to.

LOL, I was going on average of 25K on each exchange where some exchanges are double that and some are half or less than 1K.

It was meant as a approximate amount.

Either way 29 million is still a lot to update in one go, as well as adding the 2 unique variables to the address info.
