In reply to a post by Binary_Digit:
It's on the CEC planning website now.

Paul where did you get that Cab details from? Anything for EH6 6LP, cabinet 88
I mostly use BT's DSL Checker, Where and when page and the site of the people that are doing the BDUK work.

I can see that your cabinet (PCP) is newish as in 3 to 4 years old due to its not included in the NGA List for 2011 where I can only find that postcode connected to exchange Granton (ESGRA) Cabinet 10 and carried 30% of the lines.

I can see its not part of the commercial rollout and covered by BDUK Scotland and it says their section at the exchange has been ready since 22nd May 2015 and seems that non of the cabinets upgraded by BDUK Scotland on that exchange has been completed as yet, so maybe all 14 cabinets under their program will be completed about the same time.

Anyway here is what I have found from the BDUK Scotland site:
Leith

Fibre broadband is currently available to some premises in this area.

Digital Scotland plans to extend fibre broadband coverage in this area. Work under the Digital Scotland programme means that additional premises in this area are currently expected to receive fibre broadband in the period July to December 2015. Service availability is subject to available service provider product offerings and can be affected by technology constraints specific to individual circumstances. For more information and to order fibre broadband services, check with your Internet Service Provider or look on the Ofcom price comparison site http://consumers.ofcom.org.uk/tv-radio/price-compari... .
and the following:
Your exchange is accepting orders but fibre broadband isn't available to you yet.

You are connected to cabinet number 88 on Edinburgh Leith exchange. The first homes and businesses in your exchange area (the coloured area on the map) now have access to fibre broadband.

Your exchange area contains one or more cabinets. As we roll-out fibre broadband we are connecting more and more of these cabinets to the fibre network. Due to the complexity of the engineering and planning process we are not able to connect all the cabinets in an exchange area at the same time. This means that, even once the first homes and businesses in an exchange area can get fibre broadband, it may be some time before it is available to most, or all, properties in an exchange area. Read our Deployment Story to find out more about how we are rolling out the fibre network.
As usual their site is once again not very helpful.
So as for a date I say between now and December, but as usual date can and often do get pushed back due to delays.

Paul

From what Im led to believe from Digital Scotland, No BDUK funded install in Scotland at present will be FTTP. Its all FTTC. Whether that may change downstream is anyone's guess, but I was told that the current contract excludes FTTP
