Ok, fair point.
But wouldn't it be like forging a packet response and impersonating a 3rd party DNS Server.
Like say I use our own DNS Server from our server located in a datacentre as our primary DNS and Google as our secondary DNS.

Now if BT intercept those and modify the response packet, wouldn't BT be in trouble for doing that?

It would be like BT are like the bad Guy i.e. "The Man in the Middle" and there is nothing stopping BT or any ISP from getting paid to redirect people to certain places LOL

Yeah, but that should only be done if enabled.
But falsifying a DNS Response Packet doesn't stop that, people just need to create a local host file and have that point to a certain IP.

But yeah, I see your point.
