So £50 should get me unlimited speed and unlimited downloads?

Not unlimited speed, whatever speed you buy, but Infinity 4 at 300 Mbps is unlimited downloads and £50/month plus voice line rental.

Sorry I meant unlimited up to the service provision limit. Am I right that there are no attenuation issues as its a "full" fibre cable and that I should get the full 300 straight away, but there may be a reduction in speed over time as a result of contention?

Pay for 300 Mbps and yes it will always connect at 300 Mbps.

Speeds from various websites will of course vary, and contention will be a factor, but buying the faster FTTP gets you a slightly higher priority if things do get really busy.

What do you think of the pictures linked to in my OP please Andrew? (Sections 1 and 3 are fine, it's Section 2 I think is garbage).

The question is, are they rubbish? I'm not expecting you to get OR to fix it smile.

Not looked close enough to absolutely confirm whether copper port or fibre connector present

I think in section 2 the Huawei is wrong (FTTC) and the ECI is right (FTTP)
