Its a big IF until you try it, and only you can decide if the extra cost is worth it.

Thanks Andrew. I know it is an obvious question but seemingly there is no relation between current performance and that of fibre. Anyway will leave to the new year as there are bound to be problems in the build up to Christmas.

Also if you will be gaining some upload that can be just as important for some.

If only we didn't mess around with forced competition via LLU, all the lines for that cab could have been moved to the cab when it went up (even if still on an ADSL profile) and we wouldn't need notched FTTC power masks. Everyone would get better speed.

But no, Ofcom think it's really important to make sure TT can compete with fttc with their exchange based dslam.

Sometimes I think we'd be better off with a BT monopoly.

The last take up figure I saw for those that can get FTTC was 27%. The other 73% choosing to stay with exchange-based ADSLx.

People on an FTTC-enabled cab who stay on ADSLx aren't routed through the FTTC one. Link.
