I think if you are in a FTTP planned area you need to enter a landline number instead. It's the same with the Superfast Cymru Where and When Map.

So for Address I get; Superfast-Openreach - "Exploring Solutions" or SFC - "Based on the information you've provided, this cabinet isnt currently in plan to be upgraded as part of the Superfast Cymru rollout"

For landline number I get; Superfast-Openreach - "Your area is currently in our plans to be upgraded with Fibre to the Premises (FTTP), however we follow a different design and build process for FTTP so you won't see updates at each stage" or SFC - "Your area is in scope for the roll out of Fibre to the Premise (FTTP)"
Oh I know I am in a FTTP area, we have all the hardware in our chamber and up our phone pole and have done since 2011 - 2012, we have also had their fibre engineers with their huge vans with the drum of fibre at the back throughout July 2015, its just our records are a but FUBAR at the moment and will take a few weeks to fix according to BT.

As for checking for FTTP or in general, a full address check or phone number will/should result in the same, only when you have multiple phone lines at the same address is when its best to use a phone number, but I have always checked with my phone number.

But like you said in your case it doesn't.
But maybe its different for BDUK projects?

I have always wondered if the stages actually change between stage for FTTP or if it just goes from stage 1 to instantly stage 8 when its done and ready, I will have to wait and see.

I'd take the displayed journey stage with a pinch of salt - my cabinet displays the current stage as "CONNECT", despite actually being in the "BUILD" stage (they're due to upgrade the old PCP within the next few days).
Fibre cabinets can be installed along side the PCP work, it doesn't have to wait for the PCP Cabinet to be completed first, so this could still be correct.

*** update ***
Also it might stay at stage 6 (connect) until your PCP cabinet is ready, if you think about it, if things are going to change on your PCP cabinet, there is no point connecting it up to your fibre cabinet.

Also I think the stages are only for the fibre upgrade and not the actual pcp cabinet, well unless its a all in one cabinet for EO Lines.

Yeah, if it was really accurate it would have a "we are not interested in your area" status, or perhaps "it's not worth it" status (aka not commercially viable).

BT ADSL customer getting 1.7 Mbps (0.6 Mbps up) on a new road / new build development
CAB not FTTC enabled, not part of the 66% commercial plan. Not rural - no BDUK funding
(Virgin Media nearby)

They have simplified the wording on the message I get to -

"Great News, you can order a fibre service - please get in touch with your service provider"

Note, not Superfast. It used to mention slow speeds due to the distance, but that has been edited out.

Actual speed available between 1.5Mbps and 4.5Mbps - depending on crosstalk.

It doesn't seem to work on my Mac, I get as far as putting in the telephone number then I just get a blue swirly circle thing.

I'll check it on my work PC tomorrow to see if I'm still under review or maybe it's changed to we can't be bothered.

Current on Zen, getting around 5mb down - .8mb up
Exchange is Fibre enabled, Cab not economically viable to upgrade - though 'Under Review'

Well there is still speed information in the returned data along with a status of reachissue.

Also it does still say the following if your cabinet is live and your too far from it:
Your cabinet is enabled for Superfast fibre however you're not able to order fibre just yet. This might be because the length of the line is too long to get Superfast speeds. We're actively looking at other options. If you'd like us to let you know if fibre becomes available, register your details.
Unless I am missing something?

For FTTC its says the following when live:
Great news, you can order a fibre service. Please get in touch with your http://www.superfast-openreach.co.uk/buy-it-now/.
And for FTTP it says the following when live:
Great news, you can get Superfast fibre directly to your home. Please get in touch with your service provider for more details.
So, yeah it has changed to suit what technology of fibre your getting.

Refresh the page due to it needs to use cookies to work and this glitches out now and then, so its probably a cookie issue, I get that from time to time.

Looking at the exchange roll out lists Fibre on Demand seems to be back?

Interestingly, apart from the commercial areas that would be expected to be covered some rural BDUK upgraded exchanges are included in the list. The one's I noticed are in Surrey and Hampshire. eg Frensham - market 1 with about 2,500 lines.

Exchanges that have had FTTPoD available for ages still show it, and never stopped doing so. It didn't change when Openreach stopped taking orders for it. I'm not sure it means anything if it shows on the lists you see.
