Re: BT DNS flush

You can set another DNS server on your equipment (and I have tried both Google and OpenDNS) but that doesn't mean BT will not intercept it.

The only sure way to get around this is to use a VPN or DNS crypt.

I'm using a cable so checking the Smart wifi is not required. Wifi is disabled on my HH.

Well I tried loads of addresses when using our DSN Server and what our DNS sent out was exactly what was received, that's all I am saying.

Also I am sure there are laws that don't allow for packets to be spoofed or modified in this manor, however I might be wrong.

Have you tried turning off your router for an hour and turning it back on again?

If you have a Home Hub, turn off Smart Setup. It worked for me.

A lot of ISPs do things legitimately to manage traffic e.g. Netflix caches inside their network.
This sometimes does go wrong and is difficult to pinpoint.

I have a HH3 which doesn't have Smart setup
