Can you please check my parents - TF7 5PJ on Exchange CUCKOO OAK is served by Cabinet 9 as I think this cabinet is full as I notice my parents line sync rate has dropped to 42Meg from 80Meg.

i would not expect a full cab to reduce link speed from 80 down to 43 (you must be extremely close to it to get 80mb before)

maybe a fault maybe (do you hear any noise on the phone line when in call or when silent)

It's not my line. It's my parents line. There is no noise or cracking noise on their line. Possible crosstalk on their cabinet.

The cabinet is not full. That speed drop is too severe to be crosstalk.

Large Huawei passing 418 premises in a Virgin Media area. Would be pretty impressive if 288 ports were full

Then I don't know why is my parents FTTC drop from 79999 to 45878 as the upstream also drop from 19999 to 18766 as their SNR on both down and up are 6.0 dB but G.INP was enabled at 8:1

The phone line was fine as Plusnet supplier say my parents cannot get more 45 Meg according to BT. But BT Wholesale Checker say below:

Done anything like restart the modem/router ?

I did power down for 30 minutes and turn back on. Still the same!

Connected to the test socket?

If so, an engineer visit is required.
