VM might be oversubscribed, if so, I will cancel within 14 days and go back to FTTC. If I've just paid a fee to end my contract early, that will be pretty sucky. I can't be sure if I will want/need the 2nd line until VM has been installed.
As the FTTC estimate here is much higher than my current home, I could live with one FTTC line though, so I'm paying off the Talktalk contract.
If I can get rid of PN for free, then I can always come back as a new customer, get a load of cashback and discounts for X months etc if I hate VM.
If I move PN, I don't get the cashback etc.
If I have to pay to disconnect PN, I may as well just keep it. It would bring some benefits (static IP, failover, lots of upload)
