FTTP Latency

Hi guys,
Pleased with my FTTP, on 80/20 (74/20), but anyway, is this standard latency? and why is it always yellow?, not even using it heavy all the time anyway,
Could it be because of the way GPON works? such as traffic going to every modem and being decoded as to what traffic belongs to which modem?

Very good, stable and reliable speed though and no fault with it at all.
