Hmm, strange, due to the one I linked to is in the correct locations for this address: 5 STATION HILL, WINCHFIELD, HOOK, RG27 8BX
So mine seems for possible.

The location for yours doesn't match the roads close to it like The Hurst etc.

Paul

BB's link and indeed mine are actually in the Hurst and is my Cabinet.

I live about a mile from Station Hill so not really interested in that one. smile

It could be a bad estimate but it also could be spot on. The only way to tell is to order the service and then check out the modem stats, I suppose.

Well I think you might be interested in it due to I really think the one I pointed to is your cabinet hence the speed you are listed as.

The cabinet BB linked to doesn't match up with the speed for road The Hurst, they should be getting a hell of a lot faster than that, where as the one I linked to seems about right for all the post codes for cabinet 6.

And if what you say about the cabinet I have linked to, then how comes
"Address CHASE, STATION HILL, WINCHFIELD, HOOK, RG27 8BX on Exchange HARTLEY WINTNEY is served by Cabinet 6" is listed as 80Mbps and on cabinet 6.

Also that speed you say is probably right for a fibre cabinet a mile away.

Aha, the one Batboy pictured is SCP 6/1.

It's a secondary cross connection point, 6 being the main one, just a big overground joint.

So the VDSL comes from cab 6 as Paul said?

So the actual PCP with the FTTC cab is a long way from the OP's location, hence the low estimated speeds. That's a bit of a let down!

Yep, very, very occasionally the secondary will get a fibre twin, but then in all the cases I've seen this has been done by local schemes, and usually the 'old' SCP becomes a new stand alone cab, to save confusion in the ordering.
