Line Stats.

First post from me...

Wondering if anyone could give me some feedback on if these line stats are good or bad..
Currently on Plusnet's 80Mbps but clearly from the stats it's not very close to that, I use to have 80Mbps before and downgraded to 40Mbps, when I was previously on 80 I ended up with around 72Mbps.
A few days ago I upgraded back to the 80 and wonder if this is just a period where it is trying to find my max speed.

Data rate: 19823 / 66564
Maximum data rate: 19827 / 65613
Noise margin: 6.0 / 6.2
Line attenuation: 21.4 / 17.8
Signal attenuation: 21.4 / 17.8

Probably nothing to do with 'finding max speed' but more to do with crosstalk, i.e. interference from other users as take-up increases over time.

That would make sence as there is a new development that was completed so I'm sure alot of people needed connecting.
Is it something I should complain about or just be happy with that rate?

If brain is working (heat may be impacting) attenuation and current speeds are within the realms of sensible.

What modem were you using previously when you got 72Mbps?

I was using a Openreach modem (ECI model) with a TP-Link Router (TL-WR841N)

I had this same setup and same speeds under that hardware until today when the new router came which is just a rebranded BT Hub 5A I believe (Plusnet's Hub One).

As I first thought it might be that I changed the hardware but I have double checked again and it gives the same results.

Do you know if your cabinet is a Huawei or an ECI?

I don't know which it is, I just had a quick google to see the difference and both look quite like how I remember it so I will have a look when I walk past it as I'm curious now.

I looked it up and it seems it is a Huawei, I assume I should of been giving a matching modem when I first got the connection installed instead of the ECI.. not sure if the new router/modem matches I can't find much about that sort of thing.
