Well he placed an order with Plusnet, which initially said FTTC was available but they cancelled it shortly after.

Will have to admit defeat with this one I reckon. What a stupid situation.

Mind you the BT DSL checker isn't showing FTTC as available any more on cab 102... What the..?

Cabinet is now showing as enabled again, he spoke to Plusnet customer services who say the cabinet is full and will be upgraded later in the year? The BT checker still says available rather than 'waiting list' so we don't believe this is the issue.

Honestly its such a stupid situation. @ Ribble, are you able to check capacity on cab 102 whiteley?

Also, does anyone have a telephone number or email so we can try and raise this higher up within BT?

Nah, we got slides from that meeting but it doesn't address the issues with my friend and cabinet 102.

I emailed NGA, got a reply saying the line is connected to Locks Heath exchange (checker says Whiteley). Not sure the relevance of this as the street cab is the important bit, but assume the checker is wrong and the line is connected to a different cabinet number also?

I�m really sorry but having investigated our network data, we�re not currently able to supply you with a fibre service from our existing network. Unfortunately your property isn�t currently included in the fibre roll-out because after our initial survey, it was established that Openreach would not be able to upgrade this cabinet at this moment in time because a viable solution could not be found.
