Nothing to do with the clawback news today directly as that is too new to have changed anything yet.

Though remember the money today is not all new so projects have been announcing clawback use since 2015 and it may be that one of those or a phase II project has firmed up where it will deliver now

EO work has always had a tendency to only be announced later on in the various projects

Interesting that, when looking at codelook, it shows "Exchange 4" (and 5, 6 and 8), but the URL for examining them ends in "X_E_4" (and 5, 6 and 8). There is no entry for "Exchange 1". But if you manually alter the URL to end "X_E_1" you find some postcodes. So something is making Codelook hide the EO bundle & postcodes.

That's exactly how I got the 2 postcodes that I posted.

I think codelook does this to get it ready for the change, also codelook isn't perfect, it still says I cannot get fibre and I have had FTTP for about month, even though codelook has updated their system recently, maybe it will on their next update.

Hopefully we get to see what Node ID it gets given, I assume it will be 2 or maybe 3, they seem to put in gaps in the Node ID's.

But only time will tell.

So a bit of news:

Roadworks has 3 separate dates showing work right outside the exchange.

2 on the 18th - 20th Jan and another on 13th Feb - 13th March.

The first two of them have the following as the description:

Install 1x 100m of fibre cable into existing duct

the second lot in Feb has:

Install 12x 100m of fibre cable into existing duct.

Now I wonder if this is for a cabinet to be placed there or if its work ongoing for the P1 cabinet in Hebing End (although I wouldn't have thought the fibre for that would terminate at this exchange as its so small).

Also - the second lot of work - a month seems a long time to install the a fibre cable. Is it possible a placeholder for other work?

Codelook now showing a new cabinet P2. Cabinet E_1 still showing.

P2 is currently FTTC doing Field Survey, live due by October 2017

E_1 is FTTC doing Design, live due by October 2017

Does that mean its likely there will be more than 1 other cabinet?

Without knowing what codelook are doing and their source data and how they merge updates hard to say for sure.

But will state have never seen a PCP with a E_1 name, there are some E1, E2 names but these are distinctly different to the E_1, E_2 names.

E_1 etc is referring to bundles of EO lines.

I see two cabinets for your exchange:

Cabinet 1 - Connect - 4 Months
Cabinet 2 - Field Survey - 9 Months

Correct - I'd forgotten about P1 as its down the south end of the village

Question is - will there be a P1, P2 and whatever E_1 becomes or is P2 actually what E_1 has become?

So 3 cabs in total or two?

Annoyingly I can't find which route my line takes back to the exchange as this would have a big impact on line length to the cab. Its goes underground about 300m from my house.
