Engineer said it's ready?

Hey guys,

Spoke to an engineer today, he said my cabinet (P2, in HR29DH postcode) is ready to order, huzzah! I go home, to find out it's not updated on the ADSL Wholesale site and it's not available to order?

Is this a common problem, is it a matter of days, just paperwork and stuff? Cheers!

It's not ready yet, clearly.

It might just need commisioning or it may just need to have the checkers updated.

They usually take anything from a day to a week to go live from when Openreach complete the testing.

It's still showing in the connect stage, though this can be a bit behind.

Strangely though, there seems to be a mix of FTTC/P coverage for this cabinet and postcode.

The OP might be lucky and able to order FTTP as some addresses seem to be able to order both FTTC and FTTP.

Yeah, I was wondering that also.

Normally its says:

Our records show the following FTTP network service information for these premises:- Single Dwelling Unit Residential OH Feed with no anticipated issues.

They might still be lucky though, if they can get both, I would get FTTP and just choose what package they wanted, at least they wouldn't have a distance issue.

I just checked one of the addresses on that postcode which also said "Not Evaluated" and the BTOR Where and when page says they can get FTTP and when you look at the returned data it says they can get both FTTC and FTTP shown below:

Also seems that BOR uses the VDSL Range B (Impacted) estimated speed.
