Hi All
Can anyone help with why i'm getting resyncs with the reason code 4 Misdetection ?
My connection has been awful since BTOR repaired the line.
I get a lot of RDI: Remote Defect Indicator/DLM but now i'm getting MIS: Misdetection.
The last one caused my downstream speed to drop from 20814 (Kbps) to 6811(Kbps).
I've finally convinced Sky to send an engineer out and this time i'm going to be at home want to be armed with as much info as possible to get the fault sorted for good.
Cheers
J

No idea what CReverb1Misdetection actually means though...

No idea what Misdetection actually means though... It's more accurate to consider Reverb Misdetection.

I have an open reach engineer coming out on the 2nd so i'm going to show him the stats i've collected and see if he can make sense of it.
I know i'm never going to get a meg quick speeds but when my attainable upstream is 1.2Meg and i only get 0.6 its annoying.
Then there's the constant reconnects and my download speed drops like a rock.
I'll settle for a stable line so fingers crossed.

"CReverb1 ..."  .

Connection - AAISP Home::1 80/20. Sync 54999/14466Kbps @ 600m. BQMs - IPv4 & IPv6

True. It's all a bit too complex in ITU-T G.992.5 for me to grasp

And unless you get one of those who wrote the standards within BT Group attending the engineer will just ignore it...or worse ignore you and the fault
Stick to the simple explanations on disconnects and frequency.
The Reverb Misdirection seems to be an error being spotted in how timing is handled, and timing is a key part of keeping DSL operating.
