Was the cap applied after the engineer clocked 80/20 at the cabinet? Or was it existing before the visit. I find it quite confusing as to how this could be so.

As I understand it - from a BT Tech, is that they can test using a specific log-on and any banding will not be applied. At the time we were investigating an odd issue where an 80/20 line was being capped at 80/10 however as soon as he used his logon it went to 80/20 then returning to the normal logon dropped it to 80/10 again!

So basically they are testing the wiring/connections within the AIO, or between FTTC and PCP, depending on which type it is.
